This is perfect
I bought my house 10 years ago, freshly built. The contractor installed Delta faucets that were all right, but he put in a style called "Victorian" that I really didn't like. I lived with it for 10 years, anyway.
When it came time to redo my bedroom and bathroom I decided I wanted a more modern look, and saw these. After three failed attempts to order them through homedepot.com and lowes.com, I found them (for less) at Amazon. I love them! Those guys really need to get their websites sorted out.
The installation manual says to mount using a 1 3/8" hole, which I'm sure is a good idea, but not strictly necessary. The new tile for my bathroom counters is a 1" glass mosaic tile, so I needed this thing to fit inside the 1" square space I got when I removed a single tile. The base is only 2", so removing two tiles would have been too much, and I wasn't excited about trying to cut glass tiles. I took a chance.
