I had one of these in one side of my sink, and after having some serious plumbing problems lately, decided I should put one on the garbage disposal side. Been using them for years and will continue to do so. Very easy to clean (run under hot water and go over them quickly with a brush) and catches all kinds of stuff that really shouldn't go down the drain.
