With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Great sink keeps water warm longer
The sink looks great and has deep bowls that can hold a lot of stuff. It's heavy duty so it can take the daily abuse of my cast iron pans being put in it. But the thing I really like is the "Stone Guard" undercoating that is supposed to make the sink "quieter". I never found sink noise to be a problem, but the coating also acts as an insulator so that I can leave it full of dirty pans soaking in hot water, and when I come back an hour later to finish washing them, the water is still warm. Very nice feature. I wonder why they don't advertise it as such, instead of focusing on noise reduction?

Pricey for what you get
Sink came with some scratches that disappointed me. I did not notice them until in the right light. So unpack right away and look at it in the kitchen light! The build date on the sink was 5 Oct 2010! So it had been sitting around for over 2 years -- maybe that is how the scratches got in it. Sink is also made in China. I got the impression from Houzer website that there stuff was made in USA. Would not buy another Houzer sink.
